At our school, the Governing Body plays a vital role in ensuring that every child receives the best possible education. They work closely with the Headteacher and staff to support the school’s vision, monitor performance, and ensure that resources are used effectively.

Governors do not manage the day‑to‑day running of the school—that is the responsibility of the Headteacher. Instead, they focus on the bigger picture: setting priorities, agreeing policies, and making sure the school is meeting statutory responsibilities. They also act as “critical friends,” offering both support and challenge to help the school continually improve.
